About CWP
Cowtown Wakepark’s primary owner is longtime Fort Worth area resident and 20 year wakeboarding die hard, Tommy Fambrough. “I have been working on getting this cable park going for over 3 years and I am really happy we have the deal 100% done and are finally breaking ground. When I had the idea for a cable, I called the people that I most respect in the wakeboarding industry to help out, and we have a fantastic team of people involved in Cowtown Wakepark.”
Tommy has enlisted the support of many of the top experts in the wakeboard and cable world, and they have all agreed to be on Cowtown’s advisory board. Some of the Advisory Board members include:
Tony Finn, founder of the Worlds #1 Wakeboard Company, Liquid Force. “I love cable wakeboarding for lots of different reasons, but the main one is that it allows tons of people to really enjoy the sport we love for not that much money. We are bringing wakeboarding to the great community of Fort Worth, and we are going to do our best to provide them with a super great experience, both on and off the water!” exclaims the super stoked Finn.
The honorable Governor Luis Villafuerte Jr., commonly referred to in the states as “THE GUV”. Luis owns CamSur Watersports Complex (CWC) in his home province of Camarines Sur in the Phillipines. CWC is recognized around the world as one of the best cableparks anywhere. He has held many world class competitions there, and it is the #1 Destination for many boat and cable wakeboarders. CWC has also been a sizable boost to the economy in Camsur creating 100s of jobs.
Karsten Krey, Manager of one of the best cables in the world since 1977- Wasserski Langenfeld. Langenfeld is highly regarded as having stellar customer service, and an excellent restaurant and pro shop. Langenfeld has made wakeboarding so popular that the park has required continual updates to keep everyone riding. They now have 4 full size cables at Langenfeld in order to service the vibrant wakeboarding community created by the enormous success of the park.
Mike Olson, owner of Kansas City Watersports and the US Distributor for the cable manufacturer Ski Rixen. Mike states, “I have seen hundreds if not thousands of potential wakeboard cable sights in the US, and I have met lots of people who want to start cables. I can tell you without a doubt that Cowtown will be a premiere park in the US and in the world. The location is awesome, the support from the local government is strong, and the management team is as good as it gets. You can expect great things from Cowtown Wakepark!”
